Tom Brady's Fox Partner is Already Getting a Taste of the Broadcasting Dominance He's About to Witness

When a massive star rotates into a new area of the cosmos, its gravitational pull is going to have a profound affect on anything even remotely near it. It's going to knock some celestial bodies out of their orbits. Draw others into its own. And tear apart others just through the sheer power of the forces it creates. It's science.

And I'm not talking about astrophysics. I'm talking about the most powerful object in the known universe: Tom Brady.

No sooner had it been announced he was moving into the area of space known as the broadcast, he sent the best analyst in the business hurtling into the far reaches of the universe. Namely, Greg Olsen, who's currently heading toward the dark, freezing interstellar region known as the 1pm games on Fox:

And now Brady's future partner reveals he's experiencing life in his orbit:

Source - Brady’s partner, veteran play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt, appeared recently on the Calm Down podcast to share his thoughts on Brady and other issues.

Burkhardt told podcast hosts Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson he was surprised by the attention Brady attracted during an Aug. 11 game at SoFi Stadium.

“Going to the field is going to require like an extra three hours. It is like a circus just going down,” Burkhardt recalled. “We were in LA doing a practice game, and it took us 40 minutes just to get down to the elevator just to the corner of the end zone. I had to take a [picture] of he and Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs on the middle of the field. It’s wild. …

“That is definitely a learning experience,” Burkhardt said. “We’re going to take a little more time to go down on the field earlier … but he actually enjoyed it.”

Burkhardt thinks the fact so many players and coaches want to talk with Brady bodes well for his preparation.

“So I think that’s going to be fun on game day just walking around with him and players want to talk to him and give him some information,” he said. …

[C]oncerns got put to rest quickly after Burkhardt talked to Brady.

“Like I know you don’t know me well yet, but … can I tell you if something sucks or whatever?” Burkhardt said he asked Brady. 

“He’s like, “Yes, like please tell me, like coach me up.’

Mobs of people coming to pay homage. The total respect of other players and coaches. Everyone in the world trying to live the experience of being in the man's presence. And a total commitment to doing whatever is necessary.  To pay any price. Bear any burden. Anything to become the best there has ever been in the game.

Welcome to Tom Brady's world, Kevin Burkhardt. Where there are no half measures. No easy days. Just an obsession with greatness. Which is why the rest of us tiny, insignificant objects in his solar system gravitate toward the Red Giant star that is the GOAT. 

I'd say they ought to just start putting Brady's name on the Emmy they gave to Olsen last time out. But what's the point? What does he need that for when he's already going to win one for the Tom Brady Roast. Instead they might as well call it "Award for Outstanding Personality/Event Analyst Who Doesn't Have 7 Super Bowls" and not bother him with trifles.

Kevin Burkhardt still has no idea the ride he is in for. Any more than we did when Brady first came off the bench in September of 2001. That Week 1 Dallas at Cleveland game can't kick off soon enough.
